APPLICATION DIRECTIONS

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

  1. Abrade all bare wooden areas to a smooth, uniform surface. Tack with a water-dampened rag and let dry completely.
  2. If floor has been stained, apply stain to vents and trim pieces
following manufacturer’s label directions. Allow stain to completely dry before applying DuraSeal® VTF Vent and Trim Finish in your desired sheen.
  3. Shake can vigorously for two minutes and repeat for 10 seconds after each minute of use.
  4. Hold can vertically approximately 12 inches from surface. Spray using an even, sweeping motion, slightly
    overlapping each stroke.
  5. Apply in thin uniform coats to avoid runs and sags.
  6. Allow product to dry at least 30 minutes between coats. Subsequent coats can be sprayed without abrading if applied within 2 hours. If more than 2 hours has passed, allow finish to dry at least 4 hours before lightly abrading and tacking with a water-dampened rag. Apply additional coats until desired appearance is achieved.
  7. After each use, clear valve by holding can upside down and spraying until only clear gas comes out. If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection, wipe off the button opening with clean warm water – DO NOT stick pin in spray button opening. Dispose of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
