Oil-Based Vent & Trim Spray
DuraSeal® VTF is a self-leveling, transparent, tough finish formulated to repair wood floor finishes, wooden vents, shoe moldings and trim. It is available in both water-based and oil-based formulations and in satin, semi-gloss and gloss sheens. This product contains no CFCs.
APPLICATION DIRECTIONS
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Abrade all bare wooden areas to a smooth, uniform surface. Tack with a water-dampened rag and let dry completely.
- If floor has been stained, apply stain to vents and trim pieces
following manufacturer’s label directions. Allow stain to completely dry before applying DuraSeal® VTF™ Vent and Trim Finish in your desired sheen. - Shake can vigorously for two minutes and repeat for 10 seconds after each minute of use.
- Hold can vertically approximately 12 inches from surface. Spray using an even, sweeping motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
- Apply in thin uniform coats to avoid runs and sags.
- Allow product to dry at least 30 minutes between coats. Subsequent coats can be sprayed without abrading if applied within 2 hours. If more than 2 hours has passed, allow finish to dry at least 4 hours before lightly abrading and tacking with a water-dampened rag. Apply additional coats until desired appearance is achieved.
- After each use, clear valve by holding can upside down and spraying until only clear gas comes out. If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection, wipe off the button opening with lacquer thinner – DO NOT stick pin in spray button opening. Dispose of in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
DRY TIME
Allow product to dry at least 30 minutes between coats. Subsequent coats can be sprayed without abrading if applied within 2 hours. If more than 2 hours has passed, allow finish to dry at least 4 hours before lightly abrading and tacking with a water-dampened rag.
CAUTION

In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with large amounts of water for 15 minutes and get medical attention. For skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of respiratory difficulty, provide fresh air and call physician.

CAUTIONS

GENERAL
If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Read label before use.
PREVENTION
Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source.
PRESSURIZED CONTAINER
Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not breathe dust or mist. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wear eye or face protection.
RESPONSE
IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER or physician. Do NOT induce vomiting.
IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER or physician if you feel unwell.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if you feel unwell.
If eye irritation persists: Get medical attention
DANGER: Rags, steel wool, other waste soaked with this product, and sanding residue may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately place rags, steel wool, other waste soaked with this product, and sanding residue in a sealed, water-filled, metal container. Dispose of in accordance with local fire regulations.
