DuraClear™ Sealer
This water-based sealer formula has lower VOCs, higher solids and a tannin-blocking formula to augment resin technology in stopping the migration of soluble stains and tannins to the surface while providing excellent flow and leveling.
APPLICATION DIRECTIONS
SURFACE PREPARATION
NATURAL FLOORS: Sand and prepare floor according to NWFA recommended methods. Finish abrading with 120 or 150 grit pad or equivalent. Do not use steel wool. Vacuum very thoroughly; then tack with a towel or mop lightly dampened with water to remove all dust. Apply DuraSeal® DuraClear™ Sealer as described below and allow to dry 1-2 hours; then apply coats of your selected DuraSeal® waterborne finish per label directions. Do not screen or abrade sealer prior to applying finish.
STAINED FLOORS: Sand and prepare floor according to NWFA recommended methods. Finish abrading with 100 grit grit pad or equivalent. Do not use steel wool. Apply DuraSeal® Penetrating Finish or DuraSeal® Quick Coat according to directions. Make sure stain is thoroughly cured before topcoating. NOTE: If DuraSeal® Penetrating Finish or DuraSeal® Quick Coat is used, buff cured stain with a green pad. Tack with water-dampened cloth for best leveling and adhesion. Apply DuraSeal® DuraClear™ Sealer as described below and allow to dry 1-2 hours; then apply your selected DuraSeal® waterborne finish per label directions. Do not screen or abrade sealer prior to applying finish.
